These terms cover your use of Cultifact, an app made and published by Pars Kunt, an individual developer (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Apple’s standard licence agreement for App Store apps also applies. These terms sit alongside it and do not reduce your rights under it.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, within the App Store rules. The app, its design, texts and code remain ours or our licensors’.

The texts in Cultifact are editorial. They are written for information and enjoyment, and reflect the editors’ reading of each work. We check facts against sources, but dates, attributions and other details can be wrong or disputed. Please do not rely on the app as your only source for academic, legal, commercial or valuation decisions.
Your favourites, collections and their titles are yours, and they stay private.
Images in the app belong to their photographers, museums, archives and other rights holders. Each work page names the image credit and its licence in its Sources section. Seeing an image in the app gives you no right to reuse it; check its licence and the rights holder’s terms first.
If you hold rights in an image or text and believe we use it wrongly, write to us and we will look at it promptly.
You can suggest a correction from any page. An editor checks each report against a source before anything changes, and we are not obliged to accept a suggestion. By sending one, you allow us to use what it says to improve the archive, without payment.
Browsing is free. Pro adds the full story behind every work, unlimited favourites and collections, advanced filters and saved searches, and offline reading.
Founder is a single purchase offered to a limited number of people. It unlocks core Pro for as long as the app is offered. Future separate publications are not included. Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy.
Go further and museum links lead to sites run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
We may add, change or remove works, features or plans, and the app may sometimes be unavailable. If we ever stop offering the app, we will try to tell you in advance.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will be free of errors, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. The sections on content, images, warranty and liability continue to apply after your use ends.
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
These terms are governed by the law of the publisher’s place of residence. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.
